Cwm Taf Local Government Area Branch of UNISON is providing Snack Packs for key workers.
In an effort to support our members out on the front line providing essential services to our communities, we are providing snack packs to those that need them.
Hopefully the packs will help our members avoid busy shops and get on with doing their job whilst social distancing.
Margaret Davidson, Registered Care Home Manager stated:
On behalf of the team at Ty Bargoed Newydd, thank you and Unison very much for the snacks and drinks that you have provided for us today.
It really helps to know that others are thinking of us but also ensures that staff can have some treats on their break time.
We are all used to being able to pop to the shops in our break times. However with shop closures and social distancing causing long queues for those that are open, this is a not an option for us at the moment.
Members of the UNISON Committee will deliver the packs to you, no matter where you work.
We also have a limited number of UNISON Hand Sanitisers for members – but these are intended for your personal use – it is the responsibility of management to ensure you have hand sanitisers and PPE for work
